Hopefully a simple question. Does anyone know how to tighten the ball joint that the rearview mirror is held in.
Mine is too loose and the mirror constantly needs moving back to position

I had the same problem on a Ford Escort. I snapped the ball out of the joint, and snapped it back in again after putting some quite thick polythene like used for damp-proof membranes across the hole.
It tightened it up no end, and I trimmed the plastic that showed.

Alternatively, remove the whole mirror, screw a self tapper into the rear, then remove it, grind the end flat and screw it in again. Use a blackened self-tapper, or paint it black.
