Cleaning Seats
As you know I have a MY00
38,000 miles
and generally in good nick
About 3 months ago, during a moment of weakness, i'd dropped me missus off and was sat in the scoob waiting for her. Like a to55er, i leant into the passenger footwell, felt under the chair and found my emergency bottle of Dr Pepper! Like an even bigger buffoon, i opened it and .....yep you guessed it, psshhhhhhhhhhhttttttttt all over the inside of the car
Now the inside of the car is spotless and there are no signs of the Dr Pepper moment except the drivers seat. Where the *** groove is
there is slight discolouration and staining (Shut up!!!
) now obviously you can't just set about it with a sponge and water (Or can you?) cos the seat would surely retain the water for days. How do you clean seats?

Mikey,
I had one seat replaced cos it seemed to be worn out, the second one then followed, I enquired about getting it changed, and then thought I'd try cleaning it, the result is amazing, like new.
So, go to your local auto shop, and get a can of valet cleaner stuff, folow the instructions, and let it dry, shouldn't take too long, esp if you run the car with the heater on full, if it doesn't do the trick, try again, as long as you don't use too much water, you'll be fine, and make sure you 'rinse' all the cleaner out, some of them can make the fabric rot quicker than normal, but that shouldn't be an issue.
Ron.

The grey bits on mine were awful after carting 3 sweaty teenage lads around in the back all summer, so I tried a spray bottle of Autoglym upholstery shampoo, and a bucket of hot water. The result was surprising, everything looked, and smelled, brand new.
