Default Internal boot release on a spec c

Hey,

Has anyone had any experience with fitting a boot release inside a spec c. I know it's a simple thing but I'm getting bored with having to take the key out to open the boot (and I might have accidentally locked my keys in the boot and had to unbolt the rear seat to get at them once ). I was thinking of fitting a cable so I can open it, where is the lever in a car that comes with it as standard? I have a 06 hawkeye.

Thanks for any thoughts!

The fuel filler release is down where described but there's no boot release. Maybe because it's spec c? Thanks Don, that picture is perfect. Are the fuel and boot releases on the same lever housing?

Looking at the picture again, I'm guessing cable 10 is for the fuel release?

might be worth a call to one of the breakers, see if any are local to your location so you can pop back if anything is needed ?

Thanks for the missing bits Don. Yeah, that is a good idea about breakers, I'll get on that.

GradeA are often good. They did me a "kit" of used parts to convert my classic to rear wash-wipe.
