Default question about defi's

i picked up my new blob sti today and it has a defi controller mounted under a single din head unit

i would like to move the controller to where the pop out drinks holder is

- when i unplug the controller will i lose all my values in my 3 gauges (peak etc)

- what exactly do i need to do to mount it where the drinks holder is

Yeah fairly sure you will lose the peaks but its been a few years sinse I last used mine and im just getting re used to them s could be wrong lol ,,, from what I remember just a bit behind the drinks holder needs cutting away and not much else as it fits fairly well

I've just put mine there, there was already a bit cut away from previous owner but that's all that needed doing. You could check the peaks before unplugging and then set new warnings at those points if the memory is erased?

As above, mine is there, (98 classic), and is held in with friction and a bit of insulating tape, (which is invisible once fitted).
