Default Whose modded and with Privilege?

My insurance is due soon and Privilege are giving the best quote so far. I can't use Liv Vic as they won't insure banned drivers and I was banned in Feb 2001 (only 1 year to go thank god!!) and by some accounts they are not into modded cars anymore.

I have to stick with Tesco, Direct Line, Privilege as they are the only ones to give decent quotes for banned drivers. However, they really dislike mods.

I'm not touching the engine anymore than exhaust and K&N panel which they know and also have 17s which they know but does anyone have a UK turbo with body mods and with any of these 3? I know I could ring them but it would take ages to go through each possible body mod and hope they know what I'm on about to be able to quote properly.

Mods I'd like are STI6 front lip, STI rear lights and maybe STI5 rear spoiler.

Dare not touch the suspension else the insurance will probably double know them

Thanks in advance.

I spoke to them on the phone yesterday, £540 to insure a MY03 WRX fully comp, I want to put a £400 sti replica wing on, so I asked them how much more a year it would be. The quote went upto £730 !! The wing only costs £400 and they want nearly £200 a year for it !!

The guy I spoke to was a bit of a space cadet so i'll try them again today and let you know how I get on

Thanks

Liv and Vic do insure banned drivers as long as you werent banned under totting up procedure,
if you were banned for a single offence you might be alright.

I was banned for an sp50 and Im with Liv/vic

AND YES, IT IS BLOODY LISTED ON MY POLICY BEFORE ANYONE STARTS UP WITH THAT CR@P AGAIN

Peanuts - Just called Liv Vic and they won't take a banned driver of any kind during last 5 years

I think they introduced this within the last couple of years so if you were with them before perhaps they allow existing clients to continue?

Looks like the family gets a nice holiday instead of some posh mods for the scoob!

Rang A Plan this morning and gave them the details. Said they'd call back in about 20 mins.

That was a few hours ago so I guess their not too interested then
