well; done some ringing around and;
(25-7yrs ncb- 1 fault claim last year-3 points-notts postcode)
based on heavily modded MY00 (classic) scoob..
LV: *EDIT*: They finally called back, and with a sensible xs; fully comp £1061!!!!!!! Feckkin ell!!!!! woohoooooo!!!!
NFU: Only cover UK cars-
Greenlight; Seemed to know what they were talking about and quoted £1480 (not protected ) on a heavily modded scoob.. Still less than a P1! LOL
APLAN: Unfortunately no realistic quote. (3K+!)
IF I had experience (ie: OWNED as opposed to driven) of fast cars before they reckon sub £900 easy on their specialist "modified" scheme they do..!!
So I'd have to own a scoob for a year and then go back to them for their "experienced" scheme next year then they guaranteed the the quote would be very competitive if circumstances were the same. (ie no bans/crashes etc)

thanks.
I have 7yrs + 1 claim (that was protected) last year.
any ideas what kind of % increase we are talking? or does it depend on the mod/s ?

Greenlight quoted me about +5% for adding exhaust and chip when I guessed at 260-270 bhp. I'm 29. I have the exhaust ready to fit this weekend, the ECUTEK and up-pipe are still to come. Does that help?

Try being 23, living in the South East and owning a Scoob.
Barclaycard weren't that bad, but weren't keen on taking on new business with mods.
Having said that, they "only" wanted £200 extra for a full decat.
