Default Track Day Insurance - Who / Cost / Cover type

Hi all,

Generally speaking I have never bothered with the extra cover, silly I know, and you could say I have been lucky, but I am now wiser and more sensible and would be keen to know who people use and what you are paying broadly speaking.

I asked Ian Morley when I renewed my insurance about it, and he said to give him a ring nearer the time which I will. I also noticed that Reis is quite widely recognised and sponsor at a lot of motorsport events, so I have enquired online with them too - just waiting a response.

Thoughts and experiences please...

Robert

I've recently gone with Pace Ward for my insurance, and their track cover seems good to me, although I'm yet to do a track day since being insured with them!

What are your terms, severa capoedl track days under an annual policy, or insured unlimited? If you don't mind me asking, what is the cost and excess?

Just missed a call from Reis, I'll ring them back now

Cost depends on the track, but first track day is reduced at £75 or something. But normally around up to £150 looking at the tracks I'd visit.

Excess is 10% value of the car covering the full value. Can't remember all the specifics mind, but worth giving them a call.
