Question I'm moving out of town (London area).

Hello comrads, I need your help!

One is planning of starting a fresh, preferably in the London area, however daunting the prospect may be. Trouble I'm faced with is I don't know london, and I need the cheapest place to live, preff' one of those old Victorian buildings converted into cheap bedsit type accomadation, (tries not to though up ), untill I'm established and can afford to get a flat then house blah blah.

I need some ideas..

Get a job lined up before you go.

Then just look at the room to let notices in the local papers.

hehe. there are a lot of places to avoid.

if u like your clubbing/going out, share a house with 5 others in shoreditch.

best look in the papers and stay with a mate in london til you find somewhere.

one of my friends lives in a shared house, renting a double room. 650 a month.

i'm paying 850 a month for a 1 bed flat in angel.

If you want cheap, south london's the place. Peckham/Walworth/Elephant & castle/Bermondsey... not yet gentrified or properly trendy (unlike Shoreditch or or Hackney) but still close to town (Zone 1/2 travel).

People will say they're ****eholes, which is true in parts. That's London.

Or you can go for somewhere with more/ less violent nightlife... Hackney, Shoreditch, Islington if you're rich... but it'll cost you. Depends what you're after really.

They even camp out at my 'rents house sometimes, I swear I want to **** them up, I get the bastids popping out from behind cars trying to point fuking cameras at me, retards aint got me yet though, so they keep trying, if they do get me ill take his expensive SLR with its super expensive zoom-lens and shove it up his slimy ****, then I'll get the extra charge of assault, GBH blag blah fukin blah, I really detest them.

And where do you live?

Londons basically the only good city in the UK on a world scale. Everything else compared to it is quite frankly a bit poo.

And especially non london wages.

World scale congestion, polution and opportunities to get turned over, its ok for a visit but would not want to live there.

Actually I think I agree with that. Most countries (in Europe at least) only have one global city though, if any.
