I have a UK MY00 Turbo, fitted with the basic Philips stereo that comes as standard. The face off part is about 3" long and has the radio station buttons. I must go to the car park & get the model numbver......

Anybody know if it will ask me for a code if I disconnect the battery as I dont have one?? I seem to remember that it wont, but i'm not sure??

Nope no code, the security is the removeable faceplate.

 

I thought it did have a code - I thought I saw a card with the details taped to the top of the unit when I removed mine.

 

I have just been and checked my old radio out, and there is a Security Card but there is no way that you would want to type that code in!

 

My MY99 battery went flat the other day causing the clock to reset but the radio presets not to. I didn't have to enter a security code for the radio at any point. Just as well as I don't think I have one anyway! I think the standard stereo on my car is the same as in an MY00.
