2017 WRX STi removing head unit
Folks, is there a guide anywhere on removing the head unit in my 2017 WRX STi? I want to replace it with something better, perhaps with an Apple CarPlay compatible unit. That Starlink thing is horrendous. Why would I want to connect my modern phone to my car screen to see the weather, news headlines or my calendar 10 times slower?!
The Starlink thing is a decent concept, just very very poor implementation in this car and in this country. When I originally read about it online before buying the car (didn't buy it for this I must make clear!) I was a wee bit excited about it, but it's just dreadful.

The best thing to do is to watch a couple of the YouTube videos on it. Not a particularly difficult job, but getting a headunit that looks nice will be tough, the headunit surrounds look a bit naff.
However there are some with a built in surround that look like factory, so keep an eye out for those.

Which like most subarus is designed for a slightly larger than double DIN headunit.
or there's Subispeed's double DIN version

You could always fit the MY15 Fascia (66065VA000)
