Pioneer AVH-X3800DAB head unit fitting problems
I've just bought the above head unit and fitted it fine in my 06 Wrx estate. When I've come to put the silver fascia surround on, the stereo is slightly too big for the hole in the fascia.....anyone else had this issue or know a resolution?

With the trim ring removed from the Pioneer radio the fascia should at least fit over the front lip.
Is it more of the case that the radio protrudes out too far for the fascia to fully clip home??

Yes that's it. I've just borrowed a dremel so gonna give that a go tomorrow....just need to remove the plastic inside the hole for the stereo....if that makes sense....I will try a get a pic to show...

Im now having the same problem with the AVH-X390BT Pioneer double din head unit, even with the trim removed from the head unit it still sits a good 5mm 🔙 from the front of the fascia WTF looks like I've gotta butcher mine and all, thought these bloody things should fit ok, after all a double din is a double din size wise surely

I had the same problem with my AVH-X3800DAB and I had to trim my facia to fit the stereo as it wouldn't clip back in again.
I have cutted the facia with my dremel with accuracy and now is back in place.
I'll make a photo and post it this evening

Yeah get a descent dremel.....the one I borrowed didn't work properly so got half way through and it stopped......I ended up putting the dremel bit in a cordless drill....lol....didn't notice the head of the drill touching the white plastic part around the electrics for the heater dials and melted the casing.....lol.....just take your time mate....doesn't matter if it looks a bit of a mess as it's on the inside of the fascia and won't be seen......
