Hi forum members.
I’ve been hearing rumors about Raystown Lake for years, specifically how it’s one of the few places in the Northeast where you can actually find pristine, undeveloped shoreline without a house in sight. It sounds like a dream for a weekend escape. I’m finally putting a trip together for later this summer, and I’m determined to spend at least one full day just getting lost in those winding limestone valleys. I’m currently checking out rental options through Getboat at
seven points marina, mainly because it seems to be right in the heart of the action but still offers that sense of scale I’m looking for. I love that the lake is managed so strictly—no private docks allowed—which I assume makes for a much "cleaner" view from the water. Has anyone here actually spent a night on a houseboat out there, or is it better to just stick to a day rental and find a cabin on land?
