I noticed Retrax has an EQ line now, but I can’t find much about it beyond what’s on the product page. I’m wondering if it’s more focused on daily drivers or more of a fleet/utility option. Curious if anyone’s tested it or can compare it to other models in terms of material, install process, and real-world function.

I just installed the Retrax EQ on my 2022 Titan, and it’s geared toward daily use with occasional utility needs. The standout feature is its all-metal construction, which feels more rugged than the polycarbonate variants without adding too much weight. It opens smoothly on a sealed ball-bearing track, which means less maintenance and no binding when dirty. It uses a simple push lock system with multiple secure positions, and the cover seals well even in angled rain. Install was a bit longer than expected — about 2 hours — mainly due to alignment, but everything fit tightly once dialed in. It doesn’t have accessory rails, so it’s not for rack-heavy users, but if you’re using your bed regularly and want solid weather protection with a flush profile, it performs really well.
