Default Flat spot and boost drop

searched the forum and have seen lots of simular posts but after a bit of help as im still unclear

of late my 03 wrx has developed a horrible flat spot and boost drop between 3.5k and 5.5k i havent changed anything on the car as such and have a good look for any dodgey boost hoses etc

it only seems to pull well if you feed the throttle in if you punch the throttle it feels like its holding back and will boost to about .6 where as if you feed it in it will go to 1.2 and tail of to .7 in the flat spot

any help on this much appreciated

car is on a frount mount with no cat and after market dump valve boost is controlled by an eboost 2
