Default CDB purchase question.

Evening all,

I'm looking to sort a CDB for a future project and want to know opinions on pricing for buying second hand. I've seen a few priced around £5-£600, does that seem about fair?

Thanks in advance

About £400 is/was the going rate for a good pair of block halves.

iirc I paid £200 for the full engine, manifold, injectors etc but that was blown (shells). That was 2 years ago though.

If you pay £600 for a CDB, you've been raped. They're not as rare as you'd think.

I have bought one myself got delivered on thursday to my mechanics, mine was lucky it has already had the rear thrust conversion done so someone started it off for me It's currently been sent off to have the block pressure tested to make sure there are no cracks in the block it only costs £70 and is well worth the check nothing worse than building your engine up to find there is a crack somewhere in the block......

Here is the link to the one i got on ebay:-

You can always have you block re sleeved with ones like this:-
eBay link

They are perfect for a ej22 conversion as they are 97-100mm and the ej22 pistons are 97.5mm bore so only a small machining and ready to go

Example:-

Just a thought....
