Default APS dual vent BOV question

Hi guys, i've been a lurker for a while but decided to make an account

I recently purchased an MY04 Subaru WRX STi (Australia), and it came with a few aftermarket mods, which include:

3" turbo back exhaust system
cold air intake
APS Dual vent blow off valve (http://www.airpowersystems.com/wrx/blow.htm)

Now the thing that worries me is that I am unsure on whether it has had a tune to suit these mods. I know that BOV's that open to the atmosphere rather than recirculating generally cause incorrect AFR's. I am unsure if my twin vent BOV is any good, or whether i should stick a purely plum-back/stock BOV on it? i would appreciate anyones knowledgeable input on the matter.

Either way i think an ecutek tune is in order for my baby...

G'day cobber.

I think mappers compensate for a VTA's dumping of the air to atmosphere, so they should get the fuelling correct, etc. in the remap.

Mine (STi 5 Classic) was certainly okay when it was mapped with a VTA and the MAF. (I'm now on Simtek/MAFless/recirc combo.)

How far away from MRT (Brett Middleton) are you? They'll be able to sort it for you - they know their onions re. all things Subaru.

P.S. Please don't mention The Ashes lol

Is the APS twin vent BOV considered a full VTA? And is there any reason why i should dump it in exchange for a stock BOV/full recirc?

And unfortunately i'm on the other side of the country to MRT haha. A friend recommended i see someone at maximum motorsports (http://www.maximummotorsport.com.au/) for the tune, and also a walboro fuel pump as i've done 100,000km's. And i won't mention the ashes.. for now

Yeah, an uprated fuel pump is a 'must have'.

That BOV is quite unique in the way it works (quite clever, on the face of it) -- why not email Maximum Motorsport the question?
