I've recently picked up a '94 wrx and the abs doesn't work at all. There is no light on the dash either when I turn the ignition on. What could be causing this?

 

The fuses have probably been pulled on it. My ABS is damn dangerous at the moment due to corroded tone rings and I'll be pulling my fuses too until it's sorted.

The ABS on these things is terrible, a lot of people remove or disable it.

 

Might sound silly but does it actually have ABS?

 

yeah my 93 does not have it. easy way to check, lift bonnet and if there bunch of pipes and a manifold front left you have it.

 

I didn't realise some came without it. The fuses are in the fusebox for the abs are all ok but there doesn't actually seem to be an abs pump. Is there any way to tell if it has just been removed?
