looking for a few pieces of info on my 1996 wrx import classic

what engine is it running
what bhp model is it
how can you tell if it's the original engine from manufacture
and is it a closed-deck block

code's from plate on passanger's wing -

model - gc8c48d

engine type - ej20gdw5he

also have E-gc8 GC8-042381

and the usuall ej20 stamped on the top of block!

Look under the alternator, if there is hatch marks on the block its either closed or semi-closed (I think the ej207 is semi-closed) not sure of the ej20g.
