Default Handbrake adjustment

Had M.o.t today passed, but the tester said I will need to adjust the handbrake as it is riding quite high. How easy/hard is this to do?

Any help thanks..

To adjust it properly you need to do the handbrake shoes first , on the rear hubs , at the back of the back plate under the driveshaft is a rubber grommet , if you take that out you can fit a screw driver through the hole and turn the adjuster to tighten it up , you need to feel a small amount of drag , then slacken it off slightly.

If the handbrake still comes up too much the cable will need tightening , and this is done on the handbrake lever under the arm rest

Hope this helps
Cheers Ian

As above but de- adjust the cable before you adjust the rear shoes.
