My bug is currently kicking out 300 according to the print out the garage gave me when I bought her!
From what I can see it has a full straight exhaust system on it and a HKS air filter!
The car didn't come with any receipts just a full scoob service history!
Iv currently put on a boost gauge and it read .8 bar!
Where do I go now with the car is my question?
What do I need to do to say run 1.2 bar??? Or reach the magic 400bhp

Like I said I have no idea what has been done to the car already just I know it's 300bhp

 

What model? Unless its a sti I doubt the gearbox would last long at 400Bbhp without spending a lot of money

 

Either the printout is bollOx or your gauge is wrong as .8 bar of boost is pretty much standard power for a Wrx and that won't see 300! I reckon someone has told you and the garage porkies

 

Its just a wrx which are around 220 standard arnt they??

Speak to midlife on here, he has always helped out with advice on my bug wrx.

 

Standard turbo is a 280bhp turbo give or take a bit.

So either it was modded nad has had then removed or print out is wrong.

 

Agree with this, something's not right.

Best to go open source for your map, dont get sucked into the ecutek route.

Cheers guys! So these gearboxes don't like 400bhp????

 

Opensource is mapped on your original ecu and ecutek is double money
Think the safe make hp is 350 mark for wrx then change box to 6 spd if you go over to be safe, think there is a few guys running the 400 mark on standard box but it's just pot luck if it goes.

280-300 depending on your turbo and engine

 

No it wont do 300bhp with those mods without a remap and on standard turbo.
