Driving down the motorway this arvo, plodding along 65-70 no problems, everything working then stopped for fuel. Rejoined the motorway and noticed the speedo wasnt reading. Rev counter and other guages all fine.

Carried on then after a few miles the CEL came on and seemed to loose power, pulled to hard shoulder preparing to stop and power returned.

Got home, about 5miles from when that happened and did codes.. 24 33 and 53. apart from the speedo being dead the car seems to run fine but i havent tried reving above 3k or boosting much.

The car is a my 98 turbo wagon.

How much of a job is changing the speed sensor and is a non reading speedo an MOT fail as its meant to be going in on wednesday.

Would these other codes, 24 and 53 be related to the speed sensor fault?
