Unhappy

I,am currently taking the gearbox out of my 93' legacy turbo to fit a new clutch. Problem is I can't get the engine and gearbox separated. Separates about an inch and thats it.Have i missed something. All mountings and studs are off and its clear of the body. Does the small clutch lever need disconnected maybe.
HELP

Hi

If you have removed the two 14mm bolts holding the clutch slave cylinder on and the starter motor you will see a 10mm Allen plug, remove that then get a long 6mm bolt and screw it into the crosshaft in the hole.Withdraw said shaft then once it is out you lift the release fork clear of the release bearing.
Refitting the box is easy you build the bearing up on the box and then once it is in the car pull the release arm back to engage it into the pressure plate.

I hope all that makes sense

Steve
