compression and torque, head gasket
hi all
I'm in the middle of a engine rebuild on my my96 2L 16v turbo, it has 150k miles on it 10k of which was done in the last 6 months, as it was sounding more and more like a diesel every week and leaking every fluid i decided it was time to get the motor out. so i've got it out (after alot of bad launage) and i plan on using metal head gaskets for the rebuild. So my 1st question is do these require extra/less torque on the head bolts?
Also what should the compression be? i've compression tested each cylinder before the rebuild and they were all diffrent from 1.8-2.5 bar (noisy side were both 1.8psi).
thanks
