Default How to turn boost down

Hi all, is there a way to turn the boost down without a remap ? I have a 93 v1 sti , full japspeed zorst ,air filter, hks bov and it has a pp ecu chip. For some reason it's running 1.4/5 bar and occasionally hits boost cut . I find myself staring at the boost gauge to change gear before it rises above 1 bar an it's doing my head in now, I can bypass the the boost solaniod with a bleed valve but I was wondering if there are any tricks. All everyone talks about is how to turn boost up , no one interested about turning it down lol.

vacuum hose from the compressor housing direct to the actuator will drop the boost right down to actuator pressure and save your engine!

1.4/5 bar and only occasionally hits cut!?!?!?

A pukka PP chip will cut before 1.2bar. Take the chip out and see if your problems persist.

Agreed.
Will probably run around .8bar depending on actuator spring pressure.

Get it looked at properly Turning it down as I said WILL save your engine until you get a proper boost controller and get it set-up correctly for what the ECU is mapped for. Personally I'd use an electronic boost controller rather than a bleed valve style one.

Don't risk driving it like it is with that boost level because you will blow your engine up.
