Hi guys

After the mods i performed over the last few days I've noticed my y pipe is in need of changing. I have the sti intercooler fitted to my wrx but I think it has a wrx silicon y pipe?

Am I right in thinking that the sti y pipes should have a metal section looking like this



And the wrx pipe is as below



I have the one on the bottom pic at the mo and it is a nightmare to fit on the turbo.

Anywhere I would be able to change over as my intercooler hasn't even got the longer metal section, would I be able to order one?

Any help is much appreciated.

Ha, always seems to be the way. Once I've asked a question I think I then manage to find what I was looking for.

I take it this is what I would need?

There is no need to change them over as the samco pipe you have is not std on a wrx and are a good upgrade over the std plastic oe pipes.The std sti pipe is normally red in colour & the samco unit you have is more flexible so should fit over the turbo no problem.I had a original sti unit with the metal pipework and I changed it to the one in your bottom picture as it appeared to be less restrictive.
