I thought I'd put together some of my technical thoughts and opinions into a bit of a guide for those that would like to use it as a reference. Hopefully it will evolve into something even better with input from others, both non technically able and those that are.

Feel free to PM me regarding various topics that you would like covered and perhaps other ideas and feedback.

I think I have spotted a small omission on page 9 :-
"Firstly if you are sticking with your TMIC, (top mount intercooler),
Exhausts
Exhausts are a fairly simple topic to cover."

There appears to be a section on DVs missing.

'You’ll find that the majority of UK WRXs require 95 RON fuel'

Our UK WRX says SUper Unleaded on the fuel cap. I would sya the majority of UK WRXs require 97RON.

Are you saying you have 380cc injectors with a standard fuel pressure regulator and it's running 330bhp?

Yup Standard ECU too.

It did have a standard regulator, when it made 330bhp, still have 380's.

I have a Fuelab regulator now, won it at Scooby Shootout a couple of years ago.

Never seen that before! They usually max out at just under 300bhp tops. Grey injectors?

Ok fair enough! Well lets not distract from the point that the average is far less than this on 380cc. I'm wary that a lot of customer perception is based on the forum 'best' results. I.e some poor sod having read your statement will now assume his 380cc injectors will do 330bhp no problem.

true. But yes, although there will always be exceptions to the rule, I am trying to keep the guide as real and average as possible, so those that have their cars modified will not be disappointed by the result.
