your car wont be too healthy if its got those mods and not remapped, it needs atleast the standard cat back on there or it will be detting its little heart out
Also according to scoobyclinics site, the sc46 isnt recommended for 2ltr engines, the sc42 is and that comes in at £1250, note you will need supporting mods (injectors, some upgrade to the brakes etc) before going that route

Seems and is are 2 different things
you could have latent det (you cannot hear that with your ears but it does it), adding a sports cat to an STI can and does have a tendency to cause issues if not mapped (hence my new exhaust isnt going on until I can get the car remapped at the same time).
If you go front mount then you will have some other issues, means you may well need to do some cutting of the front bumper, you will need a cold air intake kit, and dont forget to check with your insurance co, it will go up if you change the turbo and in Manchester that will be a BIG hit (I know
)

It has a nasty habit of blowing holes in your pistons and causing stress damage to your engine, can lead to main bearing failure, its not a nice thing
With det you can either hear it or you cannot but its doing it, what you cannot hear is latent, you can fit something like a KS3 which shows you if your car is detting or have det cans put on the engine.
Normal det you can hear, should be a few vids on youtube with it on.

Martyn, it was Mike Wood that said the best way to look at what the numbering "would" have been is to see the numbering on the WRC or Grp N cars, so S7, S8, S9 etc, those would have been what the versions would have been
