been offered a set of hubs of a sti the wheel studs are 100pcd will the shaft of a 5 speed work are they the same and when did they start to beef up the 6 speed shafts

 

I believe the 5 Speed Type R shafts are the Same diamater, but WRX ones def not.

 

The 5 speed sti ones are different also,im not 100% but i think the stub end of the 6 speed shaft that connects to the hub are bigger than the 5 speed shafts therefor the 6 speed hubs and 5 speed shafts wont mate up.
