2.1 stroker rods

Default 2.1 stroker rods

Hi, im looking in to a 2.1 stroker build. i have a 2.0 ltr cdb and a 79mm crank. i need the thrust converting on the block but what size rods would i need? are they standard 2.5 rods or are they different? cheers

It depends on your piston choice. Of course you need special pistons for any stroker. We supply long rods or stock length ones, depending on the pin height.
We will also convert the thrust, we charge £150 plus vat.

All rods are the same unless you were to use a Lateral stroker kit as Mark uses a shorter piston than the usual stroker pistons and a longer rod. Just make sure you use stroker pistons.

so say a set of forged wiseco 92.5mm pistons, would these be ok to use with a standard size ej25 rod? Thanks for the help guys, and i was planning a visit down to plymouth in the not too distant future to pay you and your guys a visit Alan

For Wiseco we use the K1 long rod. It's plus 1mm. Wiseco just happen to make a piston in that configuration and we've used that combvination many times. We prefer to use uprated pins with them.
Mahle supply a piston for stock length rods, so do Cosworth. We can supply any of that.
We're of the opinion that the machining and build is very much as important as the parts used, and it's worth thinking about at least a built short block for that reason.
