Default S202 / Spec C 50L fuel tank install on standard STI

I'm considering fitting the 50L fuel tank from an S202 onto my standard 07 STI (60L tank). Does anyone know if it fit without too much hassle? Is the S202 50L tank similar to the 06/07 Spec C 50L tank?

I know the mounting straps / brackets will have to be changed, but other than that, will everything else bolt on? My main concern is that I currently have a fuel pump assembly with the anti-surge box chamber installed in my 60L tank, and I'm not sure if it will work with the 50L tank due to the shallower depth? Any advice will be appreciated, thanks!

Cheers,
Gerald

I'm looking to save weight off the tank itself.

I think the main saving is the 10 litres of fuel that is then offset by the 12 litres of water in the boot. I doubt the actual empty tank will be much different. Not sure it will be worth the hassle.

You won't be saving that much with the 50ltr tank in there, i would personally stick with the 60ltr tank.

Thanks for the comments guys, I know it is minimal weight savings but at this stage I've exhausted most other non-invasive weight reduction modifications. I also considered the mild benefit of having a less pronounced central hump design in the 50L compared to the 60L tank.

Assuming we were to disregard cost considerations, are there any fitment issues in swapping over a fuel pump assembly from a 60L tank (with swivelling chamber) to a 50L tank? I understand that the 50L tank has no cross tank siphoning feature, will that affect fitment as well?
