Default finding bugeye fault codes - problem

Hi
i know the bugeye has a obd port for finding fault codes but why do they still have the green wires under the dash , when i connect them together it makes the cel light flash but nothing else can anyone tell me why the green wires are still fitted ,

They need to be connected together when flashing the ECU with another tune. Also when in test mode you should hear the various relays clicking and the fans on the radiator should spin up at different speeds. You can't read any CEL codes on newages with the test plugs though.
