Flat Spot 2000 - 3000 rpm Please Help!
Hi Guys - hope you can help me.
Recently my car has developed what id describe as an intermittent flatspot between 2000 and 3000 rpm. It seems to be more noticable when cold but has happened when hot as well.
Also it seems to be vary in severity - sometimes just a bit hesitant or jumpy and other times i put my foot down and theres virtually nothing no power at all until it (very slowly) pulls itself above 3k revs. Im not sure but when i hit the flat spot i seem to get an increase in the wooshing noise from the turbo as if theres an air leak somewhere but I cant find anything.
I have had the MAF sensor out and given it a good clean plus i have checked the jubilee clips on the intake pipe and any others i could see most were a bit loose but are now firmed up.
Car is a 2006 STI running a Dynamix remap, decat downpipe, uprated fuel pump, aftermarket panel filter and exhaust backbox
Any advice you can give me on where to look for the problem would be greatly appreciated.
