Default Coil advice

On my 2001 Forester (non turbo) I have a single coil part no 22435AA000 which is shorting out on the ht turrets. Trying to get a replacement is proving very hard except oem (£385).
It has 4 lt wires, and the lt socket is moulded onto the coil, the ht lead sockets are female ( leads push in).
Just wondering if this can be swapped for a different/newer style coil.

Thanks.
