Default WRX dump valve

Hey people just after some advice, had my WRX MY94 for a week now and I've already had enough of the awful Baileys dump valve it come fitted with.

Want to go back to a recirculating valve but going on peoples experiences what is the best one, heard good things about Forge valves?

They've obviously never taken one apart, must have cost all of 50p to make and are not adjustable or repairable. Not heard of any actual problems with forge recirc valves and different strength springs/spares available for my forge and no problems in 4 years. Methinks some people may just want to sell you their old crap.

There's nothing wrong with the OEM recirculating valve. I ran one on my previous car up to 1.3 bar of boost and it worked perfectly.

Ive got a forge atmospheric dump valve, i find it good quality and reliable. What is the problem you are having with your Bailey valve? you have not been specific? is it leaking metered air? is it leaking on boost? or is it simply the noise that offends?
I am a fully qualified engineer to trade and have designed and manufactured many different types of dumpvalve personally and so my knowledge of this type iof thing is quite high.
Im currently running a modified Bailey atmo valve myself.

The early ones can have a tendancy to break/split,which is why V3/4 had a much bigger recirc valve connected to a pipe off the intercooler.V5/6 were better still as they were made of alloy opposed to plastic and mounted directly on to the intercooler, for better efficiency.

you have now, mine lasted 35k from new approx 3 years before diaphragm developed hole, mechanic suspected saying most don't notice as symptoms are not dramatic ( i didn't) and i found a reasonably priced forge so i replaced and carefully dismantled old one, 2 holes were there and not surprising really, like i said 50p worth. Do you really want a bargain bucket dump valve attached to your engine? it's a wrx maybe sti ones are better? at least you can unscrew and inspect internals on aftermarket ones which i did and quality appeared far better, haven't bothered changing spring rate seems fine out of the box but that's an option also.
