Default VF36 turbo whine?

Only have it fitted maybe 1500 miles, have noticed there is a whining noise coming from it when you rev the car, either at idle and driving at low speed it was a nearly new turbo with only delivery miles on it so im curious if there is something wrong with it or if its just how the vf36 turbo sounds. It does seem to be a bit loud to be a normal sound, maybe a leak somewhere or issue with the oil feed line. I'll try and get a video clip to record the noise. Can anyone think what could be causing this whine?

Cheers

Dan

You get a slight whistling effect with twin scroll turbo's, whine you will know, more screechy.

forgot to stick up that clip of the noise. Does this sound normal for a vf36? You can here the whine when i rev and when i turn off the engine and the turbo winds down

My vf43 is quite loud, can hear it spooling and can hear it slowing down when you lay off much more than the standard td04 I had.

I like it :-) lol

I can hear it spooling when i`m driving, but then again i have no soundproofing etc(spec-c), Difficult to say if i can hear it just when reving the engine as there is exhaust noise/belts/engine,

Does it get any louder when on boost? or is it reasonably the same just getting higher pitched with the spool of the turbo?
