Default just wont start

hey guys, im new to this so here goes:
i have a rs ra legacy 1991 and two weeks ago it wasnt idling properly. everytime i would slow down to a stop and put the clutch in or in neutral and it would drop to 1.2 where the idle used to sit, for half a second then drop down to 700-900 and fluctuates. about 6 months ago it used to do this but only once a month and would go away after 2 secs. also on idle it will run very rich puffing the black smoke like a train as if its getting no air into the engine. alot of codes sprung up and i read them to be idle control, throttle sensor, airflow meter and knock sensor before the car stopped working. i have replaced both the air flow meter and idle control valve and no difference. so i parked it up for a week and when i came to it last week it just wouldnt start? i havent been able to pull any codes from it since its not starting. i checked spark which it has and it is getting fuel to the injectors. any ideas? anything will be helpful
