CEL/EcuExplorer query
I've just downloaded Ecuexplorer and I'm impressed at how quick and simple it is for reading codes. I paid £8 for the cable and the software is free so what a bonus
Anyway, I had a permanent CEL light on and the codes that showed up were historic codes only so how come the CEL was still lit?
The codes showed misfire on cylinder 1,2 and 4 which surprised me as isn't it usually on #3? I suspect that #3's coil has been replaced before but no mention in it's history.
Anyway I re-set the ECU so I'll see what happens but am I safe to give it some beans now as those codes were old ones or do you think I should replace all plugs to reduce the risk of this happening again?
Any advice/comments on what I've written is much appreciated thanks.
Ian.
