Default To PTFE or not? Sensor fitting

Quick one... I'm fitting some gauges tonight and will obviously need the sensors fitting.

Oil pressure, oil temp, boost and a wide band.

My question is, would you use PTFE tape on the oil pressure / temp sensors? I've seen people say yes, and no, and am now lost!

What would you do?

Nip and dog? Do you mean, not over tightening?

Thanks for the help

Boost shouldn't need any PTFE, You may get issues with oil pressure if you are PTFE, as the sensor tends to use the thread as earth, if you are using a sensor relocation kit then you shouldn't need any PTFE. Oil temp usually has 2 cables, so it's ok to use a little PTFE, be carefull about over tightening as the threads can be a little fragile.

I haven't fitted a wideband sensor, so can't advise on that one.

If you dont put PTFE tape oil will bleed from the sensor. So its good to do so.

It also depends on what sensor, I have found that defi sensors seal spot on without any ptfe tape where as others do need a quick wrap
