As per Tony's post. I daresay the check engine light will be flashing after the engine cuts out?

In order to rectify this, one of two things will need to happen. Either he'll need to have a Subaru dealer/locksmith/vehicle security specialist re-sync his keys and the immobiliser, or, you will have to remove the transponders from your key(s) and sell/give them to him so he can fit them in his own.

If you've sold the PPP ECU because, for example, you've had an aftermarket one fitted, you don't need the transponders anymore, although they can be fiddly to get out without destroying the key.

It will make your Subaru factory fit cat 2 immobiliser useless, but if you have a Cat 1 alarm (including a Sigma M30) that will still work.

It sounds a bit counter-logical, but that's the way they work. If you ask Brett to do the black plugs, it'll come back with error code 53.

if you have a simtek fitted then you dont have a factory immobiliser any more, the remaining m30 security system if still fitted should be adequate.
