Default turbo induction pipe

just brought a samco induction pipe for my 98 impreza turbo, the old one split near the turbo and caused it to run badly, just wondering do you have to take the inlet manifold off to fit it, or can you get away with leaving it on? looks quite a job to do considering its a pipe lol.
any advice welcome

cheers
den

Hi, just had mine replaced for the same reason, the manifold had to come off as the little pipes are metal and would bend enough to fit through the manifold, hope this helps

No, sorry, I meant the same, as in frayed on the turbo bit, but a new one will probably help you anyway

i fitted one to my00 turbo, i did not remove the inlet manifold,
just used some grease and brute force and its fitted all nice and pretty
so it can be done just time consuming...

Hi i have fitted one in feb on my 99uk turbo, took about 30 mins, then fitted another 1 to my 2000 uk turbo about 6 weeks ago.It took me about 20 mins to fit the 2nd one , the hardest part is removing the old inlet pipe(which i had to cut out ),once removed just used washing up liquid and gently fed the pipe in,making sure that the upper union at the turbo end did not catch on the elbow on the inlet manifold, then once clear just twisted pipe to line up.It is a bit fiddly but can be done easy with a little due care .
