440s and 3 bar map sensor
Are all 440 injectors suitable for a 96WRX? I have seen yellow 440s for around £60 but they state they are for later cars than mine. How easy are they to change?
Similar question for the 3bar map sensor - Is any 3bar map sensor suitable and how easy to wire up/change?
Thanks

the 3 bar map sensor can be made to fit but as above it will need to be mapped to suit, fitting either of these mods with out doing it will result in disaster.

Yes I realise the car will need a remap, I am looking at fitting a FMIC - long story short I am moving to Spain and a FMIC will help reduce heatsoak in the hot ambient temps - It was recommended that whilst paying for a remap (ESL daughterboard) fitting 440s and a 3bar map sensor will maximaise my car to 310/320bhp which is about the max I will get without spending shed loads of cash on the engine and probably transmission!!

no worries just pointing it out as some people will try and fit these mods without the supporting mods, the links you have posted, the injectors are correct for your car (although i would have them cleaned and flow checked) and the map sensor is all good as well, if you need any help with wiring the map sensor up i will help as much as possible.

Hello mate, you need to clear out your PM storage!! Do the 440s go straight in? and are they easy enough to fit? You also said you could help with wiring up the 3bar map sensor - cna you let me know how this is done? I assume I can drive the car (off boost) once fitted - I need to know that the car still runs before I get it over to the mappers.
Thanks for your help

map sensor wont make any difference to the running of the car . all it means is that the map sensor is capable of measuring -1bar plus 2bar . therefore once mapped you will be able to run more boost than the standard map sensor is capable of measuring . the 440s will make it run rich and give you a flat spot under driving where not actually accelerating just touching the throttle to maintain speed . just get it mapped asap after fitting the injectors unless you want shares in shell
