ive ran a stock td05h 16g evo turbo on an old starlet at a bar and it was very quick but it was a bit laggy. i had a 6 speed box to help keep it on boost tho.

my manifold and downpipe would need modified to fit the evo turbos which i dont really want to do.

Never heard of a ballbearing td series to be honest.
All sleeve bearing jobbies i believe.

Also, what you want (more power, less lag) unfortunately is not going to be easy.
You are already running the smallest td series turbo, so anything that is going to make more power is also goign to be more laggy.
So you have to find another way to make power low down the rev range, or finding soemone who can custom make a ballbearing turbo to your own specs. The latter is not going to be easy or cheap, so I would suggest to make the most usage of the turbo you have .(headwork, shortest possible IC piping, maybe higher compression for more power off-boost, at the risk of losing topend power)

Was going to say Dave over at TM released a wicked ball bearing td05. if i still had my glanza i wouldn't think twice about one over a td04.

also Gaz from A@G motorsport on UKSC is selling a full hybrid td05 setup... that might be worth a look at

i thought dave had stopped selling those recently. ive never seen or heard of anyone actually running one of those turbos yet. in the end i just decided to run the vf35 i had so turbo dynamics are rebuilding it for me.

To revive a very old thread.

I've found a place in Essex, that do a duel ball bearing TD0516g turbo, similar to that of the APS SR40 turbo. TM developments. They mainly specialise for Toyota an starlet turbos etc

But it's still worth a try?

Gonna give them a call tomorrow.

Imagine a twin ball bearing TD05 with a billet wheel

Lol!!!

Edit!! Just read the above...

Ahh we'll
