Assuming your car's standard, yes, it's a front entry TD04. You can replace it with any TD04 from a 1997 to 2007MY Turbo 2000/WRX. New age (2001MY on) have a slightly different coolant return pipe but you can deal with this really easily either by shortening down the soft pipe between the turbo and expansion tank, or swapping over the coolant pipes from your old turbo.

Can you turn your caps lock off please.

how much more HP would a hybrid get you

Typically 310-315, but with the same spool and throttle response as a standard TD04. The main difference is that the hybrid will continue to boost efficiently all the way to the redline on a UK engine, whereas the standard ones tend to turn into an air heater rather than an air compressor if you try and run them at high boost much above around 5000-5500rpm.
