Question Difference "UK" and "Not UK"???

cheers mates! would appreciate your help!

i just bought calipers in the UK from a turbo 2000 on a w reg.

tying to find the right pads and discs i took a look at the ebc website.

there's no problem with the front discs and pads BUT i don't know why there's a difference in the rear pads and discs? the ebc site says there's pads for "UK" and "Not UK"?!

are the calipers in the UK different from others (i'm from Germany)? what's the difference? why do you need different pads for UK cars?

The right size for the rear discs for a UK turbo on a w reg is 266 and not 290, right?

thanks,
Andy

Didn't you already do this in another thread?

Presumably the EBC website is demarking the difference between the UK/EU model and the STi with 290mm rear brakes.

are the calipers in the UK different from others (i'm from Germany)? what's the difference? why do you need different pads for UK cars?
UK and Euro spec cars of the same model year run the same brakes. As above I suspect that this will be a UK vs Jap delineation.

The right size for the rear discs for a UK turbo on a w reg is 266 and not 290, right?
Correct. 266mm vented. Although this raises a question. Most people over here with these brakes get rid and replace with the 290mm two pots. Doesn't your car have them as standard, or do you have an earlier one with the non-vented discs?
