rattle - me being paranoid - hope so
hi
i`m quite new to scoobies always been put offf by the dreaded bigend failure.
well in the end bought a sti ra sounded fine when i bought it ,in good clean nick aswell
when istart from cold when the bonnet is open i can hear a faint rattle, it goes when its warm, ive put a oil pressure gauge on (one that fits directly onto the oil sensor thread)
at cold idle its reading 7 bar and then goes to about 4.5 bar after about 10 minutes so warm but not proper warm, is this ok? i thought it would have dropped a bit further tbh.
ive heard about the pressure relief valve sticking open but i wondered if it can stick closed, if so can this still cause damage
or as title am i being paranoid - lol
thanx steve
