Hey guys
Just went for a test run yesterday after 18 months off the road rebuilding my RS motor and for some reason the dash lights are now all on every time the engine is running.

I've run it loads of times outside the house and moving the car around on the drive/garden etc, and this hasn't happened.
It's only happened after I actually went out for a gentle run.

I found that the handbrake switch wire for the timer was not hooked up so I've corrected that but it's still happening so I'm a bit mystified as to what might be causing this. The car seems to think perhaps that the engine is not running when it is.

Any ideas? Loose wire somewhere perhaps but what sort of component could cause this if it wasn't fully hooked up?

*edit* just to clarify this is the warning lights, not the dash illumination
It's stopped now so it's obviously intermittent, I'm guessing something to do with an ignition wire but which?
