center and rear thrust crank differences
Centre thrust crank has the thrust faces on No.3 main bearing journal/web and normally found on Versions 1 to 4.
Rear thrust crank has thrust faces on No.5 main bearing journal/web and normally found on Version 5 onwards.

ok, understand that, but whats the differences between the cranks, journal sizes? positions etc.
No real difference in the standard 2.0 L cranks (Version 9 is Nitrided) apart from the thrust position .
Stroke/Throw is 75.00 mm, Big end journals are 52.00 mm on both centre and rear thrust cranks and the main bearing journals are 60.00 mm on the centre thrust and 60.008 mm on the rear thrust ( 0.0003" bigger).
Both cranks are made of high carbon steel, have 5 Main bearing journals,4 big end journals and 8 counter-weights.
Both types also make good boat anchors when things go t*t's up

If you asking what difference performance wise between the 2.
When I was finding out stuff to start building a CDB I couldnt find anything that says there is a difference performance wise. The only thing I found out is the rear thrust is quieter in operation.
So I ordered a 2.29 BC stroker with a centre thrust crank.
