Default Setting up a FPR

I've bought a Walbro fuel pump and FSE fuel pressure reg for my MY98 sti. I've seen the fitting guide on the JGM website for the pump but what is the best way of setting up the FPR. I was told by the guy who did my mapping but forgot . It was something along the lines of getting the car warm then setting the pressure to 2.4bar with the vac pipe off, once the vac pipe was on the pressure would settle to 3bar. Does this sound about right or does anyone have any other ideas/methods.

Thanks
Andy.

Other way round, vac off is 3 bar, dropping to 2.4 once re-fitted.

Cheers Dunx, that was a quick reply. Might have a go tomorrow. Any idea what diameter the fuel line is?

Thanks
Andy.

Hi,
What exactly is the purpose of setting the fuel pressure initially with the vac line disconnected? What difference will it make if one just sets the pressure to 2.5 bar on idle while the vac line is connected?

The vac depends on idle speed, if your cars cold when setting the fpr up, then the reading might be a little out. With it off, it's a proper reading.

Just caught me during my coffee break at work....

S'net is one of a very few sites I have access to, really helps pass the time on "lates", even though it does breach the T&C of Internet use at work.
