Hi guys & girls


When fitting a maf to a 2000'' uk turbo do you just disconect and put the new one in

or do you have to do some thing else?

lol,so no resetting the ecu etc...or dis-conecting the battery?

u may need to reset ecu to clear problem if cel light on, but if no cel light on ul be fine.

Not quite accurate.

It's worth either resetting the ECU (or disconnecting the battery, same effect) after swapping any of the engine sensors, the MAF especially, whether or not there's a CEL.

If you don't, there's potential for correction values the ECU learned "before" to continue to affect the way the car runs "after". Resetting forces it to re-learn from scratch.

thanks guy just brought a new one for £113.80 is that about right?

i work for a car parts company so got it on staff discount

What model year? If, as per your original post, it's a 2000MY car, you didn't so much get discount as pay a surcharge - they're less than a hundred quid retail from Subaru.

i rang subaru up in norwich they quoted me £158

For the entire assembly (inc. the tube) or the sensor insert on its own? The sensor on its own (22794AA010) should be a two figure number.

Subaru's current retail on the sensor (22794AA010) is £94.16 + VAT (£108.28)

The entire assay is £169.73 + VAT (£195.19)
