can they be identified externally?

 

Not really if the engine is complete,as they share the same casting/ID numbers as the WRX.
What Version STi heads are you talking about ?

Hi Mick, long time no speak!.........just wondered if mine were,guess I should have looked when I rebuilt the engine! Dont they have solid lifters?cant remember what mine had! Why do some rockers have 16 avlve on and some blank?
